The Hairy Dog Digital logo
We’ve retired the original Hairy Dog icon for a more refined logo that better represents our design aesthetic – a clean, simple ‘mark’ that’s instantly recognizable and reproduces well in every medium (online, print…).
Although we’ve redesigned our logo, we’re keeping the Hairy Dog Digital name which is recognized for quality, dependable work throughout the local business and professional community.
But, why the name ‘Hairy Dog’ Digital?
A little history… The ‘hairy dog’ was founder Rob Emenecker’s dog ‘Griswold,’ a Norwegian Elkhound.
If “Griswold” sounds familiar to you, you may recognize it from National Lampoon’s Vacation movies – yes, the dog was named after Clark W. Griswold.
Rob and family now have a German Shepherd/hound mix named ‘Rufus.’ Although Hairy Dog Digital has all but retired the dog iconography, ‘Rufus’ carries the mantle of the Griswold legacy for all of us.

Our new website
We hope you enjoy hairydogdigital.com’s updated format and enhanced look, including straight-forward navigation and ample white space (versus an old-school approach of having a colored background and boxed elements).
Hairy Dog Digital’s designers and developers built the new website employing a web-based content management system (CMS) framework. With a web-based CMS, our writers have 24/7 access to easily update the site’s content without worry of ‘breaking’ the design and programming.
Lest we forget, Hairy Dog Digital’s copywriters who developed the content for this site can do the same for you – develop mission-centric messaging, targeted to core audiences, for your web site and emarketing publications (enewsletters, emails, esurveys, etc.)!
Last, and just as important, is that the new hairydogdigital.com is fully mobile-device compatible. By combining custom programming and design, our site looks and works equally well on smartphones, tablets, and laptop and desktop computers.
